International Patients — FAQs

What is the minimum age you accept?
Eber Medical Group accepts patients from 6 months of age. This includes cerebral palsy (FSPR, rehabilitation), epilepsy, and pediatric neurological conditions.
What if my MS patient is currently in relapse?
If a multiple sclerosis (MS) patient is currently experiencing a relapse, we recommend first managing the acute relapse with standard international protocols at home (high-dose methylprednisolone). Once the relapse has resolved and the patient is in remission, they can travel to Eber for the disease-modifying and TCM treatment program.
How do I send my medical records for a second opinion?
Use the contact form on this page or the main contact page. Upload MRI scans, EEG reports, discharge summaries, and any other relevant records (PDF, JPG, DICOM, or ZIP archive). Dr. Sun Chenyan's team will respond with an assessment within 48 hours, free of charge.
Do you provide visa support?
Yes. Our international patient coordinator provides a medical invitation letter for the Chinese medical visa application. We advise on the correct visa type (M or medical letter of invitation) and assist with the process. Airport transfer from Qingdao Liuting Airport or Tianjin Binhai International Airport is also arranged.
What accommodation is available near the hospitals?
Near Qingdao Yibo Hospital: A 5-star hotel approximately 1.3 km from the hospital charges approximately 500 CNY/night (double room, low season). For long-term stays (weeks to months), furnished apartments directly opposite the hospital are available for rent. Ward accommodation includes single rooms and companion beds for family members.
Do you have interpreters and Russian/Arabic-speaking staff?
Yes. We have international patient coordinators who speak English, Russian, and Arabic. Medical documentation translation is provided as part of the medical concierge service.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept international bank wire transfer (SWIFT), major credit cards, and WeChat Pay / Alipay. A treatment deposit is typically required to confirm admission dates. Detailed payment instructions are provided by your patient coordinator.
